Inclement Weather Policy

Innisfail Minor Soccer Association will run games/practices rain or shine.  We will only cancel due to weather if:

• The fields are saturated with water, making for muddy slippery conditions

• Lightning and/or Thunder is present at the time of play

Games will be called at 5:30 if rain has persisted throughout the day saturating the fields.  There will be a board member checking the fields to determine this. All coordinators will be contacted who will in turn contact the coaches.

On Field Policy

If we have started to play, we will continue if we are experiencing rain.  We will however end the game immediately if we see or hear lightning or thunder.  Anyone that sees/hears lightning/thunder can report it to any coach, coordinator or board member.  Anyone with a whistle will then blow THREE LONG WHISTLE BLASTS to signal to everyone on the field that thunder or lightning has been reported and we will immediately clear players, parents, and equipment from the Fields.
